In a speech to the Eurogroup of finance ministers, the Chancellor will today say that the UK and EU should aim to have a "businesslike" relationship going forward.
This is the first time a British Chancellor has addressed the Eurogroup of finance ministers since Brexit.
The following three key areas in the UK-EU relationship will be the focus of Reeves' speech: tackling shared challenges like the war in Ukraine, championing free trade, and strengthening economic partnerships.
Naomi Smith, Chief Executive of Best for Britain which campaigns for closer EU-UK ties said,
“Our polling shows the public want more trade with the EU than any other part of the world and removing Brexit trade barriers will reduce costs for British businesses and consumers. Beneficial alignment and mutual recognition of qualifications is the best place to start while a Youth Mobility Scheme will give opportunities back to young Brits.”
