Dear Mr Corbyn,
Our country is divided. Our Parliament is deadlocked. Our government is falling apart. And Brexit threatens our jobs, the NHS and our future. Whether we voted to leave or to stay, no one voted for this.
In last year’s conference speech you said “there is no bigger test in politics right now than Brexit”, and that “we settle our differences with democratic votes”. We agree. As citizens of Britain from all walks of life, we urge you to come out in support of the public having a final say on Brexit, with a vote that includes an option to stay in the EU.
This is a moment to take a stand for democracy. It will take courage and leadership. Mr Corbyn, at this time of national crisis, we’re counting on you for both.
A no-deal Brexit threatens job losses, food shortages, and catastrophe in the NHS. The best way to stop this nightmare is for the people to vote on the final terms of Brexit. And one man can do more than anyone else to make it happen -- Jeremy Corbyn.
Momentum is growing, and he’s facing massive pressure from Labour members, but he’s worried the public won’t support him. So let’s show Corbyn a people’s vote would be wildly popular. Sign the open letter before Labour's annual conference, coming up in days!
