Coleg Gwent could be severely affected if Brexit goes ahead. The loss of EU funding could leave Coleg Gwent unable to provide their current high standard of education for local people. You can help stop this disaster.

We can show local people are concerned with how Brexit would affect Newport. This letter printed in your local paper is a powerful statement.
Dear The Editor,
Nobody in Newport voted for less educational opportunity. Coleg Gwent college is vital for our children’s future and its success has been helped by EU cash.
The campus received over 7 million in EU funds, and Coleg Gwent and Coleg Y Cymoedd’s Upskilling Work scheme has been backed by almost 11m of EU finances.
The lack of government commitment on these funds is just one example of politicians failing to deliver a Brexit that works for everyone, regardless of whether they voted to Remain or Leave.
More education opportunity, not less
We feel incredibly let down by the PM’s Brexit deal, which falls far short of the promises that were made by the Leave campaign. We believe the people should decide whether they prefer Theresa May’s deal or the deal we have inside the EU, in a public vote. We urge our MP, Jessica Morden, to back this.
