Reform UK coverage: 3500 people make complaints to Sky News within 18 hours

Thousands of Best for Britain’s supporters have made complaints to Sky News about their excessive coverage of Reform UK.

After Best for Britain highlighted concerns around repeated live streaming of Reform UK press conferences on Sky News, more than 3,500 people have emailed the broadcaster to complain within 18 hours.

That means more than three people took action every minute, using our email tool.

On two occasions this week (28th and 29th of July) Sky News has broadcast a Reform UK press conference live from their new 'briefing room', carrying live coverage on their channel and even bizarrely showing Party Chairman, Zia Yusuf, interviewing Party Leader, Nigel Farage.

Their new 'briefing room' is effectively a TV studio of its own, and if broadcasters carry the livestream they are outsourcing editorial content - and editorial control - to one political party.

Sky’s coverage of Reform even clashed with the build up to the Lionessess parade in Central London, which was restricted to a panel on the right hand side of the screen.

No other political party appears to be receiving this special treatment.
