Best for Britain is the UK's leading nonpartisan advocacy group upholding internationalist values. The Role
In this role you will work closely with the Head of Digital to create and manage organic and paid social media content against organisational goals and KPIs. The role is fast-paced, changeable and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You will work closely with the press, political and campaigns teams, to maximise opportunities for engagement and find those viral moments. This role will suit someone who is able to get involved with other aspects of a political campaigning organisation from time-to-time.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Researching, sourcing and producing content for the organisation's social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Linkedin and YouTube
- Generating original video, editorial and graphic material that supports the organisation's goals
- Manage and oversee the social media calendar
- Supporting the production of live events and streams
- Reporting on results and tailoring content strategies based on findings
- Producing social listening reports using our social media scheduling and reporting platform
- Assisting with paid campaign production, from creating audiences to building ad sets and delivering optimisations
Person Specification
Essential
- A political animal
- 1-2+ years of hands-on agency or in-house experience managing social platforms and scheduling content
- Experience producing organic content for TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin and YouTube
- Proficient in building ad campaigns for Meta platforms and Google Ads and experience with remarketing and audience creation
- Experience working in high-pressure and time-sensitive scenarios
- Organised yet creative
- Highly trustworthy and discreet
- A genuine passion for data and analytics to help the team understand whether a campaign is working and how to improve its performance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Reliable, resilient and able to juggle multiple priorities in a constantly-changing campaign environment
- Able to take initiative and work independently. Proactive in coming up with ideas and following them through
- Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator for the creation of social media content, or a willingness to learn outside of work hours
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Rush, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro (with After Effects experience desirable), or a willingness to learn outside of work hours
- Understanding of how an online ad campaign should develop over time; ability to analyse results; and optimisation of assets and delivery for best performance
- Understanding of using Google Analytics to provide insight to other teams in the organisation
- Experience using social media scheduling, listening and reporting tools
