At Conservative Party conference, Theresa May announced she would make changes to the immigration system, which a statement confirmed as the biggest shake-up in decades.
The proposals are deeply insulting. Back in 2016, the Vote Leave campaign promised South Asian voters they would have fewer restrictions after Brexit, but this new system (explained in this article from The Hindu) would introduce further restrictions and make it harder for people to bring family with them as they start their new life in the UK.
Rather than making our country more open to foreign talent, like doctors, nurses and teachers, they want to use Brexit to make it hostile and insular. We must speak out against this. Sign our petition today.
