The UK Trade and Business Commission

Best for Britain is the proud secretariat for the UK Trade and Business Commission

This is the first time parliamentarians and the business community have been brought together in this way, creating a unique forum for dialogue and cooperation over the big issues facing the UK economy as we recover from the pandemic.

The Commission has held evidence sessions since April 2021, providing a balanced and detailed analysis of UK trade and the impacts of the post-Brexit environment on UK businesses and consumers. The Commission has heard from a range of voices, highlighting where there is scope for improvement, making recommendations to the UK Government and engaging contructively with UK Government Ministers.

Evidence sessions have examined the impact of UK trade policy on financial services, food and drink, cultural industries and looked at the diplomatic relationship between the UK and EU.
