We are Best for Britain; the cross-party campaign group working for an inclusive, confident and united Britain that is outward looking and respected as a trusted partner on the global stage once again.
Our team of polling scientists, researchers, communications experts and digital strategists provide, the public, and parliament, with the data and tools needed to make the best of Britain's departure from the European Union.
Our board is chaired by Lord Kim Darroch, the former UK Ambassador to the United States and previous advisor to the Prime Minister on European Affairs. Kim's diplomatic career spanned four decades during which he worked for both Conservative and Labour Prime Ministers, as Head of the Cabinet Office European Secretariat and the Prime Minister’s Advisor on European affairs from 2004-2007, British Permanent Representative to the European Union 2007-2011. He was National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister 2012-2015 and British Ambassador to the USA from 2016-2019.
Kim's appointment as Chair completes Best for Britain’s transition from temporary campaign to a permanent and non-partisan feature in British politics, promoting international solutions to global problems.
The team is led by Chief Executive Naomi Smith, former Executive Director of Campaigns at the business lobby group London First. Prior to focusing on her campaigning work, Naomi spent 15 years working in finance and accounting with the likes of Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, as well as chairing voluntary groups.
