THE BORING APPEAL
Can we tempt you with something a bit…boring?
We know that you are fed up with Brexit ruining our lives and livelihoods.
But, the clock is ticking down to the moment the UK government renegotiates our deal with Europe in 2026. This is the first chance to get back some of what we lost in 2016 (or 2020 depending on how you measure it!).
Best for Britain is now campaigning for four key recommendations (out of the 114 produced by the UK Trade and Business Commission)
- A UK-EU Youth Mobility Visa Scheme - to solve the recruitment crisis across vital industries including health, hospitality and farming.
- An agreement on ‘beneficial alignment’ - to eradicate border checks that are keeping fresh goods and products stuck at the border.
- A relaxation of the visa rules for cultural workers - to allow British performers to tour the EU, and European artists to bring their talent to the UK.
- An independent board of trade - so that decisions are made by experts, in the national interests, not politically.
We know that this isn’t our sexiest work. But it might just be the most important. And it will have a huge impact on our economy, our cultural health, and our young people’s futures.

Help us raise £50,000 to bring citizens and business together to tell the new government that we want these four recommendations to be prioritised during the upcoming negotiations.
