STOP THE NORTHERN IRELAND PROTOCOL BILL
Tell Rishi Sunak not to break international law.
Tell this Government to scrap the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill and get back to the negotiating table.
The UK Government is pushing ahead with the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill. The Northern Ireland Protocol is part of the post-Brexit agreement with the EU to make sure trade and goods can still travel between the UK and EU through Northern Ireland and prevent a hard border on the island of Ireland.
This Bill will unilaterally pull Britain out of the post-Brexit agreement. An agreement the UK freely entered into just two years ago. This is a huge violation of international law, and a massive betrayal of trust by the UK Government. They’re putting us on the path to a trade war with the EU in the midst of a cost of living crisis and damaging the UK’s international standing at the same time.
It threatens British democracy, giving ministers power to back out of the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement with the EU without renegotiation and change laws without a proper debate in Parliament.
This Bill needs to be opposed to protect Britain's reputation in the world and to stop the government accumulating more power to change laws on its own.
Sign the petition to scrap the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill today and urge the UK's leaders to get back to negotiations with the EU, to act in good faith and not break international law.
