Responding to the Prime Minister's parliamentary statement after receiving a fixed penalty notice for breaking the law, Naomi Smith, Chief Executive of better democracy campaign group Best for Britain said,
"Far for a reason for him to stay, the war in Ukraine highlights the need to remove Boris Johnson from office as a matter of urgency. We need a Prime Minister we can trust, the world needs Britain to be led by someone they trust and democracy around the world needs leaders who uphold the law.
"Conservative MPs must remove Boris Johnson because if breaking this law is acceptable, it begs the questions: what laws are now unacceptable to break and if the lawbreaker now gets to decide that himself?"
