Britain isn’t buying it: Retail sales fall again under this Government

The ONS reported that retail sales dropped by a significant 2.3% in April 2024

It follows a 0.2% drop in March and comes just two days after the Prime Minister claimed economic success as he called the General Election.

Campaigners claim it's just the latest evidence that the Prime Minister "plan" isn't working and are calling on people for vote tactically on 4th July at GetVoting.org.

Business leader and Chair of Best for Britain, Peter Norris said,

"The Prime Minister says stick to his plan but Britain isn’t buying it. It is clear that under his government we are worse off.

“After 14 years of stagnant wages and a flatlining economy, people will at last get the chance to vote for change and the best way they can do this is by voting tactically.”
