Juncker tells May deal could be clarified, but 'no room whatsoever for renegotiation'

Jean-Claude Juncker, the European commission president, has said that there is “no room whatsoever for renegotiation”. Responding, Best for Britain boss Eloise Todd said:

"This is classic Theresa May, she is doing anything she can to cling onto her job for a few more days.  I can only assume she has a large bet with Paddy Power that she will still be Prime Minister by the end of the year.

"The government might come back with the EU saying they don't want to use the backstop, or that it will be time limited but all that is known already.

"The Prime Minister is trying to re-open a deal at five minutes to midnight to pacify the jackals of the ERG. To be frank, Prime Minister, it will not work, there will always be something else.

"This won't work and it just puts off her eventual defeat by a few days. You have to ask is it worth it?"
