The Prime Minister has pledged to "turn a corner on Brexit" and “fix the broken relationships left behind by the previous government” as he visits Berlin today.
Before meeting the German Chancellor, Keir Starmer said that a stronger relationship with the EU was essential to boost economic growth.
In 2023 the UK trade and Business Commission published 114 policy recommendations to boost UK trade and remove barriers to growth created by the Brexit deal.
Naomi Smith, Chief Executive of Best for Britain said,
"The Prime Minister has warned us to expect pain in his Government's first Budget so he should be pulling every lever to increase economic growth.
"Unlike important investment in skills and infrastructure which will take years, removing the artificial constraints that Brexit has put on British businesses, can have a rapid positive impact and should be a priority."
