Responding to the result of the Conservative parliamentary no confidence vote this evening, Best for Britain champion Layla Moran MP said:
"In these dark and tumultuous times I’m sure we can all find comfort in the fact that at least Tory MPs ended up getting a meaningful vote this week.
"If Tory MPs are allowed a second vote on Theresa May then why can’t the people have a second vote on Brexit?
"Now that the Prime Minister has seen off the ERG and this issue is put to bed for the next twelve months, they must stop their infighting and get back to dealing with the national crisis of Brexit.
“But that doesn’t change the fact that Parliament is in deadlock and the only way out of it is to put this decision back to the people.”
